Project STRA-3/97/9 ECNC training seminar methodology to introduce civil servants to the concept of communication as a policy instrument for nature conservation, setting up a national or regional network of experts/professionals to share experiences and expertise, and publishing a self-study manual which makes the programmes of the training seminar available to a wider audience.

Project STRA-3/97/10 Seminars on communication and conservation: in 1997, the Centre Naturopa started to organize an annual Seminar for its 40 national agencies aimed at evaluating and promoting the use of communication within their national conservation policies. "Nature conservation and Medias" and "Communication and Biodiversity" were the themes of the Seminars organized in 1997 and 1998 (co-ordinator: Council of Europe Centre Naturopa).
